Warriors

Resilient warriors, ready to fight

For what is true, and brave, and right

Come heat of day, or terror of night

Still they stand their ground

come whatever might

Brother Soldiers

When he turned 18,

In some ways he was still a boy,

but he was also a newly minted man

Answering Uncle Sam’s command,

He was shipped off to a foreign land

His uniform & boots were soon covered

in blood,sweat & sand

He felt it was a noble calling to serve his country

so he took that stand…

War changed him in a way some people will never

understand, but he’s glad his brother soldiers can

They were truly a band of heroes
