A Tribute To Hal Ketchum

Hal, I used to love the way you’d write

The stories that your lyrics told

are still running through my mind

Man, it just doesn’t seem right

That at sixty seven

you’ve already left this world behind

Rest in peace, my poet brother

I’ll catch you on the other side

The Golden Voice

Randy had a golden voice that the whole world came to know

I always loved to hear it come on the radio

When he sang a song it was about both

the heartfelt message & the show

Though his voice was robbed from him,

by a stroke a few years ago

He’s fighting tooth & nail to recover,

even though progress is slow

Cowboy Poet

This is a tribute, to late cowboy poet

Chris Ledoux & if I’m being honest,

it’s a long time overdue,

He’s one of the best all around artists

That this world ever knew

If he were around today,

He’d surely have a few

words of wisdom for me & you

I think he’d tell people,

“be authentic, in everything you do”
