Pen Drop

I have many inspirations,

old & new ones now & then

but it’s time for a confession

There have been some fellow poets

who literally make me want to drop my pen

maybe never write a rhyme again

because sometimes I feel I’ll never be as great as them

It’s not a complaint per se, just a fair assessment

It’s an honest observation, and to them an honest compliment

Chris Farley

Chris Farley was a comedic Master

He could make people howl w/laughter

Many knew him on stage as the clown

and the wild man about town

but he never could quite beat his demons

Gluttony and drugs were his biggest weakness’

The end result was tragedy, his is a cautionary tale

for you & me, by the age of thirty three

He went on to eternity
