If it were possible,
I’d love to have a tiny star
To use it as a lantern,
and keep it in a jar

Sometimes, he thinks he likes
the bright lights glowing in the city
The way they shine is kind of pretty
but he can’t help but feel
it somehow isn’t fair
that the beauty of the stars has
to compete with their glare
to be seen there
