If a broken heart cries for mercy,
Don’t leave it out in the cold,
Let warmth, kindness and Love forever flow,
how it will change a life you never know

Grandpa Don is on my mind again today
Even though it’s been years now since he passed away, some old photographs took me down memory lane
I remember how the old man treated me
like an extension of his own heart
it made an impression on me, left the deepest and sweetest of marks

Tick-tock goes the time clock
As it constantly marches on forward
Tick-tock goes the time clock
with the opening and closing
of many a door
What will you do
with the time granted you?
Tell the truth, there’s just no sense in lies
the choice is yours to make today,
Will you waste it, or will you be wise?

Mama sent me some old photographs
How goofy I looked in them,
I couldn’t help but laugh,
it’s true
but I noticed other things too
Like the happiness, the beautiful bliss on my four year old face…
Enjoying the simplicity and innocence of childhood days

This is the tale of a man

I was reading through old poems this morning
Just thinking, reflecting,
it’s good to do that occasionally
you never know in doing so
the inspiration such reflection

An old man sits in a new cafe
sipping his mixed hot chocolate and coffee
to him a perfect start to a new Winter’s day

Through blistering Summers or frozen Winter chill, I know you love me now and you always will
You, my beloved are my heart’s delight.

(For Courtney, with my loving devotion)
That old guitar is worn,
the wood is warped,
but it still sounds good,ok?
I’ve gotta say
the hours and years you put in,
my friend
they really do pay, and I
could listen to your heartfelt melodies
all day, keep playing your heart out
for as long as you wish and can
Yeah man, keep touching lives in your beautiful way
