Moon shining bright
through the Georgia pines at night
a couple sitting quietly
enjoying the warmth of
Winter fire light
as they stare up at the beauty
of that southern sky

Towering mountains,
under purple
sunset skies,
hue dark as wine,
Looks like a majestic
painting
oh so fine

A couple watches a Sunday morning sunrise
warm glowing rays shining down
as waves crash against a white sand beach
In a sleepy oceanside town
By:J.N.R Dutton
River gently rolling,
washing over everything
While birds up in the treetops,
gleefully they sing
Not a care in the world
about what tomorrow may bring

Listening to a Summer downpour
Falling outside the front door
Hearing thunder rolling,
rumbling, raging,
sounds like chariots of war

Watching a Blood red sun through
the side window
Looks beautiful as it’s sinking low
Such a strange hue in it’s evening glow

nature’s beauty calls,
the mountains, the streams
Fireflies, dandelions,
and midnight moon beams
It amazes me, God’s artistry
I am sure that heaven will
be quite a sight to see

Ever since I was a young one,
I heard stories of the Marfa lights
How they shined bright
and lit up those Marfa,
Texas city nights
Where they come from
is a great mystery
One that could go forever unsolved
& it’d be fine by me, some say “ghosts”
and that’s absurd to me
Some say “natural anomaly”
The debate could rage for ages,
but why not just let it be
& enjoy the lights just for their beauty?

In my mind I have a vision of white lava,
It’s the strangest brightest hue I’ve ever seen,
shimmering
I’m not even sure there exists
such a spectacular thing
Anywhere in the realm of reality
but it’s totally cool for a waking dream

Above, there is a crimson hued sky
Picture perfect to me
Below, is a creek,
shimmering,
like a crystal sea
Such magnificent beauty

It’s amazing what a photo can capture sometimes, and this poem was inspired by one.
