Caleb Mason was a boy of fourteen,
but he behaved like a grown man
Had to grow up quick on harsh frontier land
His papa taught him the carpenter’s trade
that’s how his youth was spent
Learning how to be strong & self sufficient

I’ve seen some women treat men with such bitter hostility
Like we’re inherently evil, and bring toxicity & disease
I’m thankful though, that the vast majority,
are reasonable people and not hateful harpies

Some people act like fathers are obsolete,
Irrelevant to making a family and home complete,
Frankly, it absolutely sickens me
I can’t imagine what I’d have turned out to be
If I didn’t have daddy to set an example for me
There is no nobility in people who want to deprive
children from having fathers in their lives

I hear people these days
railing about alleged “toxic masculinity”
and frankly, it’s nonsense to me
just more crap from a section of society
trashing & whining about everything
As a man, I’m not ashamed to be,
If you want to demonize men,
keep your insanity away from me
Thank you kindly
