Average Joe

He’s got unkempt hair & cowboy boots

You won’t find him in a dry cleaned suit

but he’s a man that respects his roots,

His neck is red as the Southern clay

He’s overworked & underpaid,

Lives by the sweat of his brow every day,

He’s just an average Joe

The kind everybody knows

That’ll fix a tire, make a spare key,

or be willing & ready to fight or die

to keep others safe & free,

Whatever they need,

He was raised to be that kind of man

He’s the kind that still says “Sir” and “Ma’am”

He doesn’t care how “old fashioned”

some may think that to be
