White Hot

Ever since I was in my teens

I adored everything about poetry

I even wrote it when I was told

I should have been doing other things

There is a passion for it

Forever in my soul

A fervent desire

It burns white hot

Like raging fire

In Memory of Naioka Gray (Part 2)

I always thought you had the strength

of a thousand warriors inside you

but even so it seems your pain

Finally became too much for you

If I could talk to you now

I’d tell you this, because it’s true

Since you’re gone it’s like

a part of me has died too

In my heart there will always be

A sacred place for you
