Eddie Gene

Eddie Gene came from New Orleans

He loved Jambalaya stew,

sweet jazz & the Blues,

fedoras & alligator shoes

He was a mix of Cajun and Creole

Loved the gulf coast down to his soul

Frankie went down to Louisiana, the city of Baton Rouge,

that’s where he first heard Jazz and the blues,

To say they made an impression would be an understatement

from that first day on, Frankie was hooked on it,

he said:

“this is where I need to be,

I’ve never felt more alive or free,

than when this music’s got a hold on me”
