For too long, he’d let himself slide
slacked off on his exercise
but recently he’s started
to get back in the swing
of things
His muscles ached and screamed,
but he knows he’s alive
by the brutal but beautiful burn
that he feels inside
He’s got energy like he did
as a kid,
he thought that was long gone
like a lost friend
but he’s glad to have it again

A genuine Loving effort
Goes a long, long way
Give your children your best

Got to put in the time,
effort, & the energy,
Very rarely does anything worth having
ever come free
There maybe even sometimes
You’ve got to be willing to bleed
Got to want it as much
as you want to breathe,

you will succeed
