A kind of free verse piece
Rebecca worked in a bookstore in a small town, that’s often how her days were spent. She chose that career as more than just a way to pay for the rent, or gas to get around. She adored books.
She’d say they were some of her truest loves in every sense you could possibly think of.
Anyone who knew her would say she was more than a bit obsessed, some might even think it unhealthy, something needing to be seriously addressed.
She read voraciously, everything from full novels to poetry.
She wanted to be a writer too from an early age.
She felt sometimes that other aspects of life could be mundane, she sometimes felt trapped like a caught animal in a cage, but when she’d write, or when she’d read, or help another avid reader find the books they need that’s when she felt the most free.
