Lived & Loved

In a quiet church yard rose garden,

a woman knelt and gently wept

Remembering her husband

and the one promise that he hadn’t kept

For thirty years they Lived & Loved,

together they’d been dreaming of

Spending their golden years hand in hand,

but then his illness came

& sadly it stole away that plan

but when she looks back on the time that they got

She smiles & thinks she couldn’t have had a better man
