No Apology

I don’t mind using

my words for entertainment,

but when an issue more important

needs addressed I can’t stay silent

Some may complain and say

I shouldn’t use my pages as a “pulpit”

but sometimes, I admit,

I may feel the need to do it

If it bothers you,

you’re free to scroll through it

but I won’t apologize for it

  1. I write poetry that’s less concrete than yours… but some of my poetry is political and a bit against the current wave of politics, lol. However, people are starting to get angry at poets for not being politically correct. There was a poem published in Poetry Magazine this month which resulted in the editor resigning.

Just thought you might find that interesting after reading your poem. Which was good by the way!
